The Foundation is a rigid wooden support made from a structured frame of untreated pine, with slats spaced 2″ to 2.5″ apart. It adds height to your mattress and provides a flat, even surface for optimal support. The Foundation is covered with our certified organic cotton and padded with a layer of certified organic wool. Our mattress and foundation feature matching fabric for a cohesive and seamless look. The standard foundation height is 8″, but other heights are available upon request.
